Welcome to Kendo Club Sankon, the best kendo club in Brasov and one of the most important in Romania. On this site you can find information about us and about romanian kendo in general. ANNOUNCEMENT: In 2012 we continue the tradition and invite regularly Ishikubo Shinichi Sensei (6 dan kendo) to our club. Come join us!
The training practices take place twice a week in the sport arena of the "Martinica" kindergarden, as follows

Kendo - translated as the Way of Sword" - is a modern Japanese martial art of sword-fighting based on traditional Japanese swordsmanship. In Romania the beginning of kendo starts with the post-comunist era, back in 1990. Since then the number of kendo clubs and practitioners rose every year.
